The short version
We collect what we need to run a small shop: your contact and shipping details, your orders, and standard analytics about how this site gets used. We never sell your personal information. We do share it with the services that make the store work — our store platform, payment processors, the partners who deliver your order, our email service, and the ad platforms that showed you our ads. Want your data, or want it deleted? Email support@wanderpaws.org and we'll handle it.
What we collect
Things you give us: your name, email address, shipping address, phone number if you add one, your order details, anything you write to support, and reviews you choose to leave. If you download our Hot-Weather Walk Guide, we collect the email you signed up with.
Payment information: payments are processed by our payment processors through Shopify, our store platform. Your card details go to them, encrypted — we never see or store your full card number.
Things collected automatically: like nearly every website, we and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to collect device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and where you came from.
How we use it
To fulfill orders and send you tracking; to answer support emails; to send you the guide or marketing emails you signed up for; to understand and improve the site; to prevent fraud; and to measure and run our advertising.
Advertising and analytics
We advertise on social platforms, and this site uses their measurement pixels — including from Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok, Snapchat, and Pinterest — plus analytics tools. These help us know whether our ads work and may be used to show you relevant WanderPaws ads afterward (often called retargeting). You can limit this through your browser's cookie controls and each platform's ad-preference settings, and we honor Global Privacy Control browser signals where the law requires it. California residents: some advertising cookies count as "sharing" under California law; the controls above are how you opt out.
Who we share information with
Only the services that make the shop run: Shopify (our store platform), payment processors, the fulfillment and logistics partners who need your name and address to deliver your order, our email service provider, and the advertising and analytics providers described above. We'll also disclose information if the law genuinely requires it. We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.
Order and shipping emails always go out — that's the deal of buying something. Marketing emails only go to people who opted in, like guide downloads, and every one has an unsubscribe link that works on the first click.
How long we keep it
As long as we need it to serve you and to meet legal obligations like tax and accounting records. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.
Your rights
Whatever state or country you're in: email support@wanderpaws.org to ask what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and we'll respond within the timelines your local law sets. California residents have the rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sharing under the CCPA/CPRA, and we'll never treat you differently for using them.
Children
This site sells dog bottles to adults. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us theirs, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, and payments are handled by processors whose entire job is security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we won't pretend otherwise.
Changes and contact
